Chief Inquisitor,

I thought your fee system for the Inquisition was the best model available of a Ministry or Office paying for a portion of its own operational expenses. Is this something that the Inquisition will be doing for future cases, or has it since been retired?

Regards,

I would be delighted if you could respond, Mr Chief Inquisitor.

So sorry, I keep meaning to reply.

The whole fees system has been deactivated, and I've no intention of reinstating it for the Inquisition. It seemed too unpopular and controversial. When the economy is at such a state where fees and charges are common and everyone is involved in a paid job and so on, this idea might be worth reconsidering.

That is understandable. Antica's economy probably still has some ways to go before it reaches the state which you describe, in which there would not be notable opposition in the Assembly to the fees and charges. Thank you for your reply.
